A little girl finds Corduroy in the toy department of a store and falls in love with him. However, the girl's mother says she has spent her money and they leave without buying him. After an adventurous night around the store, Corduroy is happy to see the girl return to buy him with her own piggy bank money. Corduroy finally has a home and a friend.
